Top 3 Legal approached Mode=Create to help them with a challenging set of updates to their Team Sheets product following a recommendation via their lead developer.
Top 3 Legal's Team Sheets product links businesses, law firms and lawyers together so that a business can find the right lawyer for their needs via recommendations from colleagues and their wider network.
The team wanted their lawyer profile listings to move from a table format to cards and then link to an expanded profile. Complexities around different types of recommendations, different profile types, trusted networks and other information were to be considered in the new card presentation.
After taking the time to understand the Team Sheets product, where it was at the beginning of the project, what it offers it's users and the objectives of the team, we set about moving to a card based design with the aim of simplifying the presentation. Mode=Create presented card options of varying complexity to the team with the reasoning behind each option (including pros and cons).
Mode=Create used Adobe XD to rapidly prototype and present to the team, giving them a sense of real world context of the design and forming a great base for developer handover. Once we'd finalised the listings, we then moved on to design the expanded lawyer profile details pages alongside the development of the listings to ensure the fastest delivery possible.
Feedback from the team on acceptance of the new design has been great and Top 3 Legal went on to ask Mode=Create to redesign their main website. Read more about the Top 3 Legal website redesign.
We were looking for a designer to help us make some really important changes and improvements to our web application - about how we present key information to our users. From a commercial and development perspective we had a clear idea of the functionality we wanted and provided a brief to Gavin. He then went away and worked his magic on it - coming up with draft designs and UX recommendations that were excellent first time round. Better than our team could have hoped for.

Gavin presented concepts to us with a clear explanation of the pros and cons of different potential elements and treatments.
